a lapis lazuli thursday - oh what a week...

well today i report from the house of newspaper and you may wonder what the arf that has to do with lapis lazuli namely blue... well absolutely nothing... nadda, nought... yes folks ziltch... well maybe the blue masthead titled 'in business' counts and boy are we in business... note my grumpy tone and lack of wit - well sleep deprivation kinda does that to you... and why might we all be so exhausted?

welcome miss mollie...

ok so she did the cutest poses on the way home... pretty good for her first car ride, not even a sickie on the blue car rug...

and she does seem to adore me... our first meet on the front lawn went pretty darn well...

but b none of these pics show the real mollie... you know the fearless monster that bounds up and down the stairs and man those stairs are big, the fur ball that leaps off the couch, that is super strong and into everything, the wee girl that runs so fast she's just a blur... actually b how on earth did you even manage to get her to sit still enough for these photos... i mean to say, even the babe in a blue basket trick barely lasted 2 secs... i didn't even get a chance to find her off switch...

b has no time to cook cos mollie's such an energy sapper and time gobbler and c seems to be constantly cleaning and mopping up after her... thank god neil and niki bought them jimmy's pies in their famous blue packaging...

they may be neglecting themselves but they do manage to get our daily sustenance into our bowls with their blue glaze interiors...

and we do have one secret weapon of control...

oh yes the baby gate that helps make our bathroom with our blue bath a calm and restful mollie place... oh what a laugh, calm and restful eh... b she is a master of disguise, one minute she's a wee sleeping princess who wouldn't squish a pea...

the next, after i've tottered off to bed with heavy eyes and when you are watching the talking box, she turns into a night stalker, hey mollie they are my toys... oh blue monkey you so don't have a chance... does she ever get tired?

so for the last 5 days while we've all been trying to get into a pattern mollie and i have also been concentrating a lot on the sky... why you ask??

well we have been sending our pawsitive vibes to miss snickers and max... we especially love the next piccy that asta did for miss snickers to help her fight the sickies, it has a very intense blue sky in a true lapis lazuli hue but best of all it seems to be doing the trick... woofhoo!

oh and miss mollie, i might be dog tired but i do love you and we all love your spirit... you have added a true brightness to our home even if i do appear a bit blue sometimes arf arf!

next week blue's challenge is orange... oh sheesh what's a dog gonna do...

(note from b... mollie might be highly spirited but we wouldn't have it any other way, we can't believe how quickly she is picking things up... already sussed grass is the place of preference for poos & wees with newspaper being the next best place. she knows to stay in her wee bed by the bed and is pretty much sleeping thru the night with one wake up at 2am. doyle was wary at first largely ignoring her but this is changing and he is starting to take on a more dominant role... they have short bursts of play and there is a lot of butt sniffing... it's all good! it's all very good!)

Looking at the sky is always a good thing....it means things are looking up! Sounds like it is going well and you are doing a good job teaching your baby sister the ropes. What a great big brother you are.

It took me almost a year to find PeeWee's off switch and I still lose it sometimes. Hope you have better luck.
