max's world tour

max's whirlwind tour...

mollie and i welcomed max to auckland new zealand, mollie was meant to do a haka in max's honour but all she could do was bow to the great one... girls are useless!

so max and i hongied (greeting another in maori fashion by touching or pressing noses together) and planned our day...

starting with a bit of ball with the boys... man they don't call them springboks for nothing you know...

then we hit the waitemata harbour setting sail for the auckland harbour bridge, thought max was gonna faint when i told him he was going to be leaping off it... arf arf arf...

way to go max!!

whilst settling his nerves, max was welcomed traditionally to the feast we had planned...

Ha-ere Mai!
Tena ra koe e hoa.
Ka nui te koa
Te kitenga i a koe

Come hither!
You are here friend.
Great is the happiness
at seeing you.

a hangi, or buried food...

the spread was laid out...

and we spent the afternoon scoffing and sharing tales...

sadly the time passed and max was off on the next part of his journey...

till we meet again fine friend!!!...

Such a fabulous adventure - I'm so glad I got to sneak along with your wonderful photos. Max is one lucky dog to get to visit all his friends - and we're all extra-lucky to have him for our pal.

Your pal, nose to nose,
