a turquoise thursday and a visit from a native

so this week's mission was turquoise, true to form, mollie was no help at all...

she reckoned she was researching turquoise in the paper...

i think she's just being lazy...

but it did get me thinking about our turquoise water bowl..

and how mollie when she was young, hot and on holiday, thought it was her private pool...

no mollie!...

aw come on just one paw...

just one? pleeeeze...

back to reality, b used her vintage turquoise pyrex this weekend for a rather special sunday lunch...

you see hannah, c's daughter, bought her boyfriend thomas over for the first time... we thought he was rather spesh...

but my great turquoise find of the week has to be...

the kereru that feasts every night in our strawberry guava tree right beside the deck...

he's a master of disguise...

and scares the living daylights out of us when he flys in cos he's so big! infact i have visions of a winged mango relentlessly huge ... aaaaaaaagh

he has the most beautiful turquoise plumage and b & c are pretty chuffed cos they want to attract more natives to our garden...

oh and next week blue's chosen primrose as the colour to play with... in real speak that's just pale yellow ok!

Mollie - Cheoah totally salutes your use of the water bowl. She does the same and is not quite so young.

Don't tell Mollie what expressive eyes she has or she'll play on that attribute.I can see she has a manipulative streak.

That bird is really good looking. And he kind of looks familiar too.

Hey, my idiot brother used to think the water bowl was a swimming pool too. Gross. Then I would howl because I was thirsty and would NOT drink icky labrafeet water. As if.

Slobbers,
Mango
