a raspberry thursday and mollie's snip snip

i'm home with b while we wait for mollie to come home from mr vetty's, b's fussing all over the place... i keep telling her it's nothing, just a snip snip here and a snip snip there and then viola madame mollie will be forever a miss... to take her mind off it all b's posting about our trip and i warn you now, pull up a chair and pour yourself a raspberry coloured beverage cos it's gonna be long...

mollie and i squished in the car... mollie likes up between the front seats...

me? i'm a window man...

gotta catch the country air...

the lay of the land...

and the action... note the raspberry poles and the fading train...

3 and half hours and the signs we like so, appear...

quick stop at the butchers with his raspberry coloured signs...

and we make our way up the drive...

mollie on guard as we open the gate...

to reveal perfection...

just as we remembered it...

views to fight over...

sun soaked gorgeousness... hey b what colour is it when you mix raspberry with cream?

sunny decks perfect for relaxing on with a raspberry coloured beverage or two...

grand skys, full of swirling clouds...

could that be jackson romping up there in the sky?...

evenings that start with the fading sun...

only to reveal fab raspberry? coloured sunsets...

cosy fires...

and comfort food cooked on a raspberry red electric stove...

early morning starts of crumpets with homemade raspberry jam... and waffles and bacon (which b&c were too busy scoffing to take any pics)...

days spent eating the purchases of the day... again too much scoffing going on to capture the salami, cheeses and other goodies from the farmers market...

eating alfresco...

foraging out treasures...

like raspberry coloured flowers...

leisurely naps...

uninterrupted... until...

mollie finds her woof...

you go girl, woofing great...

adventures to hunt out the local delicacies...

no rods required...

best we've ever tasted...

yup...

that goes for b & c too...

a spot of shopping/hunting for a pair of emus for b...

cos you see it was her bday... mollie guarded neil and niki's pressie to her...

we think it's a book...

far out there's neil... he's famous... b was thrilled with her book...

and her emus from us... betcha thought they were birds arf arf arf

oh how we love the acorn with it's fields for romping in...

our daily visits to feed the donkeys, rachael and joseph...

and the cows...

this place makes us so happy...

we could dance...

until that last night...

it is always so hard to leave...

back to the rain... and the big smoke...

oh so happy and oh so tired!

next week blue's picked ginger as the colour of the day... oh shoot 1o guesses who's gonna be strutting her stuff next week then!

pee-ess: mr vetty's nurse has just rung... our wee golden girl is wagging her tail... she's gonna be just fine... phew b you've written a book!
