a linen thursday and it wasn't an eathquake

deciding to be helpful (any excuse to be on the bed amongst the fresh linen sheets arf arf) b said i could help her suss out how many squares (translated to how many weeks and how much dosh) she will need to finish the blankie...

mmmm i would say b you've got quite aways to go...

being an expert on all things to do with comfort, i gave my opinions on which linen coloured yarn she should go with...

you see she's gonna join the granny squares with two rows that will be a linen coloured yarn...

is it gonna go in here b?...

well if you want my opinion, i think you are gonna need a truck load of linen yarn and since you've already discovered people run out you had better get something that they have lots in stock all the time...

or if you were bright you would just do all the squares and then worry about the linen coloured filler later.... oh i might just give it the lied upon test...

pretty good there b, this cotton yarn is rather soft...

uh-oh, i hear that mollie girl fast approaching...

if i were you b, i would pack it all up in your bag willy nilly...

nothing to see here mollie, move along now please...

'tis ok b i've got it covered...

hey doyle... share it...

or i'll clobber you...

gimme it... or i will have your ear...

"I scorn you, scurvy companion. What, you poor, base, rascally, cheating, lack-linen mate!
Away, you mouldy rogue, away!"
Henry IV Part 2, 2. 4

and there we leave you with the theatre of it all, oh and it should be noted mollie has no idea what is in the bag...

doyle and mollie, act 1

and no that wasn't an earthquake, just b laughing so hard she had to stop filming...

doyle and mollie, act 2

and now the tables turn... all's fair in love and war...?

next week blue's calling brick red as the colour of choice suggested by maggie and mitch the ever faithful true colours players who we suspect have never missed a post. infact it was these two that introduced us to blue's meme. blue's been really busy and she hasn't been on the netty for what seems like yonks but dont fear blue we're all keeping it rock'n along for you, just be back in time to tell us the colour to play on the 26 of august okay?

The squares are looking very nice and we think the linen color will be wonderful for joining them together.

You two are too funny. Mollie, you don't play nice, you go for the tail:) And Doyle, you sure didn't want her to know what was in that bag, did you?

We love the way you do the TC posts.

You did a great job with linen!
Our mom needs to learn to crochet if she ever wants to make one of those gorgeous granny squares like your mom makes, guys!
We sure hope brick red will be easier to find than linen was!

Love ya lots
